Join Telfair's Dr. Elyse D. Gerstenecker, curator of decorative arts, to learn more about the Newcomb Pottery of New Orleans, Louisiana, from its role as a place for women designers to its products' relationship with changing ideas about Southern regional identity at the turn of the 20th century. She will also explore how the "moss mystique" has continued to impact perceptions of the South, including in Savannah.
